Founded in 2025, Avon Audio is the accumulation of 9 years of passion for songwriting and production from myself, the founder Rhys Hurd. My songwriting and production journey started in 2016, when I went to a local music store in South Devon (Teign Music) and was advised to pick up an audio interface for recording my guitar playing. This opened up the doors for a whole range of new possibilties and kick started my songwriting, in December 2016 I released a 4 track EP called “Finding Peace” which was a range of instrumental guitar music. The journey of writing guitar instrumental music continued until 2019 when, after nearly a year of singing lessons, my first single with vocals was released – “Breakdown”.

Fast Forward to 2025, after 9 years of writing and producing a wide range of music across multiple different projects, I was looking at where my music career was at and where I wanted to go in the future. It has been a life long goal of mine to live full time off of an income generated from music, so it made sense to take the skills I had built over these years and put them into a freelance business. This is only the start of what I hope is a long, challenging and fulfilling journey of turning my love and passion for music into a career.
